I'm still looking for sites for these pet projects:
New books available for sale
We're pleased to announce that we are now offering some excellent books from other publishers for sale through our website.
- Rainwater Harvesting for Drylands Brad Lancaster
If you've been waiting for our rainwater harvesting book, you might want to check this book out, meanwhile, as it's going to be a year at least before ours is ready - Turn water scarcity into water abundance: guide on how to conceptualize, design, and
implement sustainable water-harvesting systems for your home, landscape, and community.
. - The Hand-Sculpted House Ianto Evans, Michael G. Smith, Linda Smiley
Ianto is one of the world's greatest living ecological systems designers. He's one radical dude, and this is a good dose of his wisdom.
A beautiful and inspiring manual for building cob structures. Made of the oldest, most available materials imaginable—earth, clay, sand, straw, and water—cob houses are not only compatible with their surroundings, they are their surroundings. Building with cob requires no forms, no cement, and no machinery of any kind. Builders actually sculpt their structures by hand. -
Rocket Mass Heaters (book)
(coming soon) Super efficient wood stoves that YOU can build! This is another Ianto production, with a good dose of editing from yours truly.
Free books for your clever greywater title, good photos, systems
We're doing another major overhaul of our greywater books. We'll send at least one free book to anyone who sends us photos, a system example or clever new title that we use. In particular we're looking for real good cover photos. See Ecological design photos wanted for more info.

Google Earth If you haven't checked this out, you should. Topographic and satellite image coverage of the entire globe. Quite amazing—I was able to retrace routes of my bike travels around the Pacific, Europe and North Africa, from a unique, aerial perspective. This tool will surly accelerate change, both good and bad.
